If you want your nanny to travel on holiday with your family, where the hours would be longer, & the job different from
the normal routine, then I would recommend that, prior to leaving, you sit down with your nanny and agree between you
what the holiday role will look like, discuss the days and hours you require, what time off they will have, what their duties
will be (including on the journey), what accommodation they will have (will they share with your children or have their own
room), what you plan to pay them for coming away with you, as it is not a holiday for them) and from personal experience,
I’d recommend setting boundaries (for example regarding whether you’d like the nanny to eat all her meals with you, what
you would expect her to pay for and what you would cover), so there can be no misunderstandings, which might lead to
resentment, on either side, once you are away.
